Not For The Average Person!
If you eat more than 2500 calories you should put a little extra effort into exercising to burn those additional calories. Now this, we are talking for a regular person. It does not apply for professional sportsmen. For example take the case of Michael Phelps , the world renowned record breaking swimming champion.
If You Workout Like Him, Then You Can Eat What You Want
So obviously the 2000 - 2500 calorie limit does not apply to the super swimmer as he needs the energy those calories give him to perform his gruelling workouts and exercise regimens and of course swimming. The point I am trying to make here is that if you want to eat what you want and still lose belly fat then you have to be a super athlete like Michael Phelps.
if you don't want to stick to the 2000 - 2500 calorie limit then you have to do a good strenuous workout to work of those excess calories that you consume so they don't turn into fat. If you consume the allowed number of calories for a person per day then it will be easy to lose weight with some light exercises.
